Portable medical records

Whenever you see a doctor, whether it's your doctor or an emergency room doctor, it's always a good idea to have a list of your current medications with you. This helps in many ways: 1. If your new to the doctor, he/she can quickly copy it for your new chart and saves time for everyone. 2. If you're in the ER, it will help them see what illnesses you may have. This is especially helpful if you've been an accident and are unable to communicate. 3. If you're seeing your doctor for a routine visit, it helps him/her make sure you're taking them the correct way and if there needs to be any dosage changes. So you can see how this simple measure helps us help you! One good place you can do this is on google health (health.google.com). Along with a medication list, you can also enter allergies, procedures you've had done and much more! You can print it out and now you have a portable medical record to take with you!

  1. health.google.com is no longer. If you have stored info on there you need to retrieve it before Jan 1 otherwise it will be deleted and irretrievable.
